Customer Reviews:* My husband bought this very light weight hat at West Marine. He enjoys water sports and was worried about his ears, face, and neck getting too much sun. So far, he's used it two days in windy, rough conditions on jet skis and twice sailing. The hat stays on his head and is comfortable. When the wind is blowing or he's moving fast on a jet ski, the flaps blow back and don't cover his ears as well, but protects his skin much of the time. The hat is very cool and breezy under hot sun, but looks ridiculous. However, when we returned to the boat dock, several other men were wearing similar hats so he didn't feel conspicuous. There was only one choice of color at West Marine, a light color, which shows dirt but might be cooler. I'm ordering more of this particular hat for him through Amazon including the tan one for hiking. It is unisex and adjustable one size. He loosens or tightens it as needed depending on the activity and wind conditions. * I've had the extreme displeasure over the last few years of having a neck, that for lack of better description, is red or very, very tan, for the better part of the year. I bought this hat in the hopes that (1) it would fit my large noggin, and (2) it would decrease my neck tan issues. The result? Outfreaking-standing! This hat is awesome. It fits large heads, it fits under helmets, and it doesn't cause me to overheat. Highly recommended!
