Product DescriptionYour favorite music's on your mobile phone. Now you can play it out loud whenever and wherever you want, with sound quality you can't get from any other Bluetooth speaker this size, thanks to proprietary Bose technology. The SoundLink Wireless Mobile speaker is small enough to grab and go, so your music is always ready to liven up any event, planned or not. It works wirelessly with your iPhone, Android or Windows phone and other Bluetooth devices, like tablets or laptops. There's nothing to hook up or dock. You can play music files or stream Internet stations. And the rechargeable battery keeps the music playing for up to 8 hours. If there's an outlet handy, use the included power adapter. It'll charge the battery, too. The SoundLink Wireless Mobile speaker has its own power and volume controls. Your Bluetooth device controls everything else—playlists, streaming music stations, etc. No remote control needed. This premium version with built-in Dark Brown leather cover features polished chrome trim. The cover flips open to become a stand, shuts off the speaker when closed, and protects it during travel.

Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Wireless Speaker - Leather (Old Version)

bose wireless speakersCustomer Reviews:* I am writing this about five hours after having received the Bose SoundLink Wireless Speaker. I opened the box, took the speaker out and in 2 minutes paired it with my Toshiba Thrive Tablet. I then played some classical music and said to myself, "Oh my goodness!" The sound of these speakers is amazing. The violins sound clear and distinct. Horns sound undistorted and smooth. The piano sounds like you are in the first row of the concert hall. The bass is at just the right mix with the mid-level and higher sounding instruments. The clarity of the sound is what stands out.I then paired up an IPOD touch and played "Never My Love" by the Association. The vocals were clear and distinct and the instrumentation blended in very nicely. I am no audiophile but I am pretty discriminating. At several volume levels, these speakers sound great. They are among the best I have ever listened to.With all of this, these speakers are portable because of the built-in battery. You can take these anywhere and have this quality of music. Amazing!I have not seen any indication of some issues a few critics have mentioned. There was virtually no distortion and the sound did not seem to me to be compressed and equalized as some have observed.Yes, you are paying a premium for a Bose product, but if you want quality, then this product is worth it.I look forward to many hours of immersion in my favorite music, sounding very clear and true.Bose hit a home run with this. I want to make it clear that this is an honest review and I have no connection with Bose whatsoever. Buy this and enjoy. I would give it six stars if I could. * For years I've taken my Bose SoundDock Portable with me on vacation because it's easy to set up and sounds great. The only problem was its relatively large size. For safety and security reasons, I didn't want to pack it in my checked bag so I would put in it my carry-on roller bag with not a lot of space left over.I've looked at a couple of other smaller portable speakers, but their build quality and more importantly their sound quality wasn't nearly as good as the SDP so I stuck with what I had.Until now. I dropped by my local Bose store earlier this week to check out the newly released SoundLink. After examining and listening to it for about 30 seconds, I knew I had found a replacement for my SDP when I go on vacation. The SL build quality is excellent, even better than the SDP. It doesn't sound quite as good as my SDP but it's very close. As noted by others, it's a snap to set up. And since the SL has Bluetooth, my iPod Touch/iPad/iPhone is no longer tethered to the speaker, which is a big plus. For portable music around the house, like the front porch, back deck, etc, the SDP is still my first speaker of choice, although I'll just as likely grab the SL if it's handy. But for traveling, the SL can't be beat. In fact, instead of packing it in the carry-on I'll just stick it in my satchel, giving me even more room in the carry-on and less weight in my checked bag.Edit: In mid-January I dropped by my local Bose store to sign up for the Super Bowl sweepstakes and was admiring the "premium" SL, the one with the leather cover. I mentioned to the salesman that I had purchased the nylon model when it was first available and that the leather model wasn't in stock when I made my purchase or I would have bought it instead. Even though there was nothing wrong with my nearly 4 month old SL, he graciously offered to swap a leather model for mine plus my payment for the $50 difference. So I made the switch yesterday. I very much like the nylon model, but the leather one does look better and should travel well. Is it worth the $50 upgrade? Well, that depends on your taste and your budget. Obviously, the sound quality is the same and that's really the bottom line. In any case, kudos to Bose for great customer service! bose wireless speakers
