Customer Reviews:* I am a Chiropractor, and have had several neck injuries myself. I used the Linear Gravity Pillow for 20 years, and it needed to be replaced every 2 years or so. I was relatively happy with that pillow, but was open to trying a different pillow.A patient asked me to get one of these pillows for her and I decided to buy two so that I could try it. From the first night it felt like it was made for me and it took no getting used to. This pillow feels like it supports my neck completely. It did take a little getting used to having the side sleeping portions so close to my ears when I was on my back, but it took less than a week for me to no longer notice that they were there. The side sleeping portions of this pillow are much better than any other pillow I have ever tried. This is a foam pillow -- not a memory foam pillow. For proper support of the head during side-sleeping a memory foam pillow is just not going to do the job because your head will sink further into it as the pillow warms up. It is important for the head to be perpendicular to your shoulders when you are on your side. You do not want to have your head tilted either up or down. This pillow would probably not be comfortable for someone with a reversed cervical curve, or an immobile neck. For most everyone else it is definitely a good place to start in your search for the "perfect" pillow. This comes in several sizes from child, small, medium, large and extra large. The size depends upon the distance between the side of your head and your shoulder. For most average sized women the medium should be perfect.I think that this is the absolute best pillow out there, and I have tried many over the years. * Goodbye memory foam, hello Therapeutica. After trying various brands of memory foam, from really hard to mushy squishy, and trying other kinds of orthopedic shaped pillows that wore out really fast, and trying that water pillow which was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on, I decided to take the plunge and dish out the bucks to get this pillow. Yes, it is a weird shape and looks odd on the bed next to my husband's regular pillow, and yes, it is really different than anything I've ever owned before, but after a few nights on it, I discovered something: The reason I never used to sleep on my back is because the pillows I've used in the past did not make back-sleeping comfortable to me. This pillow is very comfortable for back and side sleeping, although it was apparently not designed for stomach sleeping because supposedly that is not good for your back. Well, to get straight to the point, after trying this pillow, I'm a believer. I was glad to read in another review that these pillows never wear out, but in case this one ever does, I will do my best to acquire another one of these treasures. I don't worry about how this pillow looks on the bed; I just think about how good my back and neck feel after a night on it.
