Designed in the 30's and reintroduced in the 80's, the frames are a very sturdy nylon and the glass lenses are the classic G-15 grey-green tint used for years by the Air Force. I had mine converted into prescription glasses. The lenses are easily taken out with just a few screws and they are flat, which is perfect for those of us with astigmatism. * These Ray-Ban sunglasses are just the best! They are well made, comfortable, and stylish too. They come with a nice case and cleaning cloth. After years of buying cheap sunglasses, I now know why it's better to spend more money for better quality. I love the selection of frames too. A great purchase!
