Customer Reviews:* I bought this coat in the black with the solid on one side and "flocked scrolls" on the other last April, so it may be the "old" style to which a prior reviewer was referring. It does not come to my ankles as the picture shows but to mid calf. I notice women staring at it when I am wearing it (on the scroll side) and have also received many compliments. It can be dress/casual or very dressy (on the scroll side). The only complaint I have, and it is a LEGITIMATE one, is that it does NOT come with any extra buttons. Due to the uniqueness of the buttons and the ease of losing buttons off of a coat (especially with the type of button it is and how they have to be sewn on), as well as the PRICE you pay for the coat, at least one extra button should be provided with it. I have contacted the store from which I bought it and they generously agreed to contact the manufacturer for me. The buttons are done by wrapping or laying thin black cords or thick heavy black threads (shiny in appearance) on the surface of the button; they are very pretty! They are sewn on through the metal loop that is attached to the button's back as opposed to sewing straight thru button holes, per se. Like other reviewers have stated, it resists most wrinkles, travels beautifully, and even the pouch with the long strap looks nice used as a dressier black handbag. As a thrifty and conservative shopper, I definitely recommend paying the extra price for this classic and classy coat that will last through many years and style changes. * several friends had purchased this raincoat. I thought it was a little expensive, but now agree it is well worth the money. I wish I had this years ago. A must for everyone!
