Nemo Equipment Cosmo Air Sleeping Pad
Customer Reviews:* I ordered 2 of them. Comfort in the bag is the most IMPORTANT to me on the trail. They arrived a day earlier than expected thanks AMAZON.COM :) I opened one and pumped it up. Tried pumping with my hand and then decided to use my foot like the instructions say. It inflated very quickly. I adjusted the air in the pad to my liking. OK this PAD is VERY comfortable and thick 3". I am a back and side sleeper. Fits really well. I can't believe how light the pad is. The size is larger 25" x 76" x 3".. Most pads are 20" x 72" x 1.5" if your lucky and a extremely small person. My wife is very small and she looks like she is laying on a bed when she is on it... She loves hers and is a VERY PICKY sleeper. I am 6'1" and 210 Lbs. Pretty big guy. So this is plenty big.. It comes with a cool little NEMO stuff sack. It deflates and folds up really easy. If I ever wear this out I will buy another I have tried the bright lime :) green pads..They are not even close to these NEMO PADS and I saved some money too. I highly recommend this pad. These pads will fit nice in my BLACK DIAMOND tent. They are more than I expected and NEMO products are top of the line. You have to try one of these. * I used this pad on all my 2011 trips and love it. It is so much nicer than 1/2 and 1" closed cell foam(yes, I tried them both). Yes, it weighs more. Yes, you inflate it. And YES, it is so much more comfortable I will gladly carry the extra LB. I am 52,a little overweight, and not in the best shape - But I still can hike 10 miles to a mountain lake to fish with my grandkids.I quit backpacking when life got in the way. My kids (girls) were not into it so camping in general was put on hold. Now I have 2 grandsons that LOVE it. When my oldest daughter asked if I would take her boys out I jumped at the chance. Then I found out on the first trip that my back was older and I needed to wise up. My back said "you do this to me and you will not stand up straight for a week" and it didn't lie. I needed to find a sleeping solution that my back would appreciate, and this was it. No, it is not like my mattress on my bed at home, but it is a heck of a lot better than closed cell foam. And most important, my back likes it. I can actually move around after sleeping on it for 6-7 hours. We made 2 trips into the Bob Marshall Wilderness and 2 trips into the Mission Mountain Wilderness in 2011 and this pad was a lifesaver. Sure, I get stiff in the morning but I can work out the kinks and be moving decent after 5 minutes of moving around. Before this pad, I wasn't to confident I would be able to get into good enough shape to take the kids out more than once or twice a year, now it is no problem. I didn't realize how important it was to truly relax while you sleep. Now I know.
