Kelty Basecamp Pad

Basecamp PadCustomer Reviews:* I was skeptical on buying this product because I could find no reviews on it. Kelty is a reliable brand, and I also felt confidence since Campmor carried it too. At 2.5" thickness, it was very comfortable. Both valves are quality brass. The dimensions are a good size for most any adult. The rolled up packed size is not ideal for motorcycle or hiking types, and I would have to buy something else for that. My biggest boast is how much warmer I was using this over an air mattress from the past. At $52, I'm incredibly satisfied with this. * First off this is certainly not for backpack camping. You'd have to be desperate for a good night's sleep if you lug this with you.The velour top is plush for laying on without a cover, I didn't feel clammy at all like some other types. This is oversized and 2.5" thick. That's great for normal sized people who roll around alittle trying to get comfy. This is also the first self inflating pad I have used that actually inflates all the way, so much so that I have to bleed some air once I lay down on it.So if you know someone that doesn't like camping but you've been able to talk them into going....let them use this at night and it will help convince them tent camping isn't so bad. We also use this in a pinch when we have people over to the house and run out of extra beds. It is better than our sofas. Basecamp Pad
