Soundfreaq SFQ-04 Sound Kick Bluetooth speaker

soundfreaq sound kickCustomer Reviews:* Having own a few portable speakers ranging from ihome portables to high end Bose soundlink I must say this product is amazing! Not to mention at that price, it is a highly recommended. In terms of general sound quality it is close to my Bose except the Bose definitely had more audible bass in my opinion. However I noticed depending where I place the sound kick, I could get a little more bass out of the unit. Listening about 2-3 meters away, I was quite surprised it does produce a nice sound field with the built in audio DSP, a button labelled UQ3.The sound kick could fill my studio apartment living area quite loudly without distorting close to full volume on speaker and on my iPad output however that will need to plugin the AC power. I won't recommend that for normal listening, I blast it for the sake of testing how far it can go. I run my at 70% volume at normal listening. After about 4hrs of continuous listen from out of the box, the sound getting sweeter, so I believe it will probably get even better sounding after some "run-in". Nevertheless out of the box it is already very impressive for me.It is lighter to bring around for my business travel comparatively to the Bose. The collapsible bass chamber extension is a clever design which makes it compact for carrying in my rolling business trolley but I am kind of worried if it will be become loose after a while of usage since there is no locking mechanism.I wished it came with a cloth protective bag and the power supply cum charger could be more compact, the iPad charger would be a good size!Overall bulid quality is very good, close to the jawbones boom boxes. Love the soft touch buttons. Bluetooth pairing is too easy.I was contemplating of buying for a while since I already have the Bose but I must say no regrets with the soundfreaq sound kick!It going to be my traveling buddy for a long while! * Pros- bluetooth has much wider compatibility than apple's AirPlay which is why I got it, and that's come in handy when friends with non-Apple devices have come over; (all my devices are Apple)- thought I would never use it unplugged but I take it into my bathroom every morning when I shower, love it.- convenience of playing pandora from my phone without having it docked aka being unable to text / check emails is truly a game changer.- very powerful, great noise production and looks great while taking up minimal space- very inexpensive for the quality of the product- great rangeCons- when not plugged in, sound is slightly lower than max volume when plugged in; not a big difference but I had to have one con?have had it for 3+ months now, very happy with my purchase. great product. I did my homework and it paid off. soundfreaq sound kick
