Santa shoesCustomer Reviews:* I was out in a mall looking at crocs shoes. The salesman said the shoes would mold to your feet and get softer and softer and you could wear them all day with comfort. The Santa Cruz was the one the salesman said was best of all crocs shoes. It was my least favorite. I did not know the beach had come out in 2002 and had been a national craze.I got the canvas version made in Mexico. Crocs have companies in both china and Mexico. The shoe is only two parts. It has a cheap canvas outer part with a small sole. It has a large insole made of the crocs mold material. My version had arch support. The canvas does not have any soft material for your heal protection nor any midsole material. I wore socks with the shoe so I would have some protection from the canvas. The first test was to wear them to work. I had heard of nurses wearing crocs to work 12 hours at time.I have a sit down job but after 8 hours I had many sore muscles that I was not used to using. The mold material affects different muscles in the leg. The insole did not feel too bad inside the building walking around but it does not offer much support just getting out of the car on the ground. How do the shoes hold up in a short walk?On a walk around the block the canvas bleed heavily over my socks. The forefoot support was weak but the large insole did offer some support.Did the insole mold too my foot? I could not tell if the insole molder or not but the insole did not get softer and softer the more I wore them.Next test was to take the insole out and try in a running shoe. This idea does not work as the mold material does not make a good insole. That idea fails.Because to the lack of support this is not a good shoe for walking. Inside the house the shoe seems ok but it the salesman had not pushed me so hard on this model I would have gotten one of the leather models. The leather model would be a better house shoe but there are still other shoes that would be as good or much better. The only value of the shoe is the value of the mold insole. I do not think it lives up to its hype. It can not be used like Power step, super feet, or soft sole insoles.I do like the idea behind the mold insole and think the concept has some value. The company today has fallen on very bad times from their 2006 release into the stock market. They almost went broke last year.I tried to return my crocs. I had the hardest time of my life trying to return them. It took me 90 minutes to return them. It took three salespeople to process taking the shoes back. The company had some very tough policies that even the salespeople could not process a return. After calls to the home office and a few other details they processed the return. The company has a lot of problems. The shoe does not make it as it stands today.I still have not tried the beach shoe so I do not know how this technology works in their other shoes.I raised my ranking on these shoes. I ended up with two pair of these. One too small and the other too large. They were different sizes. I have worn both heavy but I have to use each for different things. I have many other regular crocs but I never wore any of them. I have been wearing the larger size lately but I used to like the smaller one. I wore them out and finally got used to the larger ones but I could not tell you what size I would get next. I would have given 5 stars if either one had been the right size. This is the best shoe crocs makes though. * My girlfriend and I were at a party and a friend of ours had these on. He said they were "the most comfortable shoes he ever owned..." How many times have we all heard that line. Anyway I really liked the style and had some other crocs already so I figured I would give them a try. I usually wear a size 14 in tennis shoes, so I was kind of bummed when I found out that they only went up to a size 13 even on [...]. I really wanted to get a pair so I called and the lady I spoke with said that their "13" runs like a normal "14," so I figured what the heck, I can always send them back. They fit perfect! I was so excited when I tried them on and they slid right on and I had plenty of room. Mind you, this was without socks, but who is going to wear socks with these anyway? Long story short, I am now the person declaring these as "the most comfortable shoes ever..." So much so that we got my girlfriend's father a pair for father's day! They have all of the comfort of the standard crocs with the style of a nice loafer, the perfect loafer! Santa shoes
