Customer Reviews:* I've walked miles on concrete in these shoes, and gotten no blisters or discomfort. I can't say that about my New Balance sneakers or Doc Martens. I have extremely wide and tall feet, so I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes, but these have been great. I like the way they look, too. * There is something weird about these shoes. I have a narrow heel and wide toes, impossible to fit. I've even tried custom molds. These look wide, but fit like a glove. They're the only walking shoe I've ever had that didn't require an insert for tolerating hours on pavement. Usually, I have to cut an insert or layer them. With the Keen Austin, I just use it off the shelf. Sole wears very well, I expect to get a year out of them.So my advice is Vasque for hiking, New Balance for running, and Keen for walking.
